Whether we are talking about our jobs or our relationships, when things are right, we feel illuminated. We shine like a lamp with a 3-way bulb that is turned to its highest setting.
But sometimes, as the days and weeks go by, we may discover that the light–our light–is not shining as brightly as it once did. And sometimes the light grows so dim that it can seem as if it has gone out completely.
It is during these times we must find the way to return the bulb to its original bright state. For when we are illuminated, we shine a light on all those around us, enabling those closest to us to bask in our glow.
“Make your light shine so that others will see the good you do.” Mark 5:16
